Scottsdale Fashion Square
Scottsdale Fashion Square is a 1.9 million square foot super-regional shopping center that is renowned for its luxury collection with brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Cartier, and Bottega Veneta. Soozan Baxter Consulting was retained in summer 2016 to thwart a ground-up, competitive luxury project in the market. Soozan Baxter’s focus was on the center’s redevelopment, with a keen eye on the luxury wing, anchored by Neiman Marcus.
Soozan Baxter Consulting, who led the brand discussions, built on the legacy of luxury that already was in place, and thereby increased the number of luxury tenants within Scottsdale Fashion Square. Beyond the amplification of premium brands in the center, the redevelopment included the creation of a grand arrival point, anchored by Nobu, Ocean 44, and Francine, outside of the Neiman Marcus court; soaring storefronts to showcase the latest retailer prototypes; new finishings within the center including lighting and flooring; and a world-class marketing program.
The accolades and press recognition of the redevelopment of Scottsdale Fashion Square celebrated a well-executed vision and cements the reputation of this center. Soozan Baxter Consulting continued to work with the client to add more to the “who’s who” of luxury brands at the center and served as a brand ambassador of the project. Her efforts led to the company embarking on a second luxury redevelopment.
